What I believe

As a Christian I believe in God the creator of the universe, I believe in Jesus who came to earth as the Son of God and the Bible as the inspired word of God...

I believe Jesus was not only fully man but also fully God (trippy right?!)

Jesus died on a cross at about 33 years old after only about 3 years of 'active' ministry but the crazy thing is He did it to take our place, the weight of the world was literally on his shoulders. He died as a perfect man, without fault, in place of all the brokenness of the world. So although I believe Jesus was fully man I believe he was immune to the ills of 'humanity' that we all come up against because He was also fully God.

We can't help but hurt ourselves and one another and Jesus couldn't help but save us. Jesus is our Saviour but not just when we die but every single day of our lives.

We are saved from our broken humanity through relationship with our creator and following the way of Jesus.

The best thing about this message is that I don't have to do anything to receive God's love and grace. I believe it comes through faith alone.

I can't earn Salvation, it is granted through God's mercy and goodness. I receive this sacrificial gift through trusting in God and that's all that He requires.

Many of us, myself included, go through life looking for acceptance and belonging, trying to prove ourselves, it's an innate human quality. I believe we truly find acceptance and belonging when we connect with our creator because it is there that we find our meaning and purpose, when we look to the one that made us.

And when we find our creator, our God, we find He is good and full of compassion and He loves us more than we could ever comprehend or imagine. Not only that but He desires relationship with us, He desires to show us how much He loves us, to demonstrate that love!
